Coffee Belt

The coffee belt is an imaginary line through some seventy countries near the equator where coffee can be grown.

The coffee plant requires ideal conditions to grow; the countries lying on the coffee belt provide those suitable conditions for coffee to be cultivated.

The variations in type of soil, temperature, rainfall, and altitude all affect the flavor of the beans.
